Immersive Installation, under the umbrella of Pame Kaimakli 2023

“I am here. Can you hear me?- Vol. Kaimakli” is an experience in the form of an immersive installation. The first version of the project, a collaboration of the artistic collective “ONsite Project” and Anni Shiakali (visual artist), was presented under the scope of “theYard.Recidency22”, organized by the Center of Performing Arts “Mitos” in Limassol. The main concept of the installation follows the idea of lost dreams, of stuff which were lost, of moments and memories within the city or neighborhood people think are forgotten. However, nothing is forgotten, nothing really goes away, it remains hidden somewhere within, waiting to resurface, waiting to be heard. Everything leaves a trace, unnoticed, but there. We will gather stories of people remembering those dreams and with those stories, we will create a spatial archive within the interior of the location which will be provided to us from the Pame Kaimakli 2023 Festival. The archive is in the form of an auditory installation, a vibrant one. The installation will be a place which will perform by itself -a scenery of dreams- both seen and heard. “I am here. Can you hear me? - Vol. Kaimakli” is an immersive experience of what was lost, but always remains; in the past, the present and the future.
